“Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of mind to think”
( Albert Einstein)
Being associated with the field of school education ever since the establishment of Spring Dale Public Senior Secondary School from the session 1983 – 1984, I have endeavoured to evolve the school policies for the betterment of our students. In my role as the Principal of this Institution since June 2005, I have always been on a path to bring about holistic education to our students. I have strongly believed in what once Albert Einstein reinforced, that the students should be empowered to think.
At Spring Dale, by growth we not only mean to ensure academic excellence but also make continuous and consistent efforts for integrated development of the students. I would like to also thank our parent community who has shown immense confidence in our decisions for transforming our ways on regular basis to enhance and enrich the education being imparted. With the continuing growth in our school curriculum, we still believe that there is lots more to offer. Striving to attain excellence and serving to the best of our capabilities, SDPS will surely continue to refine and excel in the field of academics.
We hope to carry forward our motto of ‘Dare to be True’ with full vigour. We are also convinced to inculcate in our students the values of Respect, Integrity and Excellence. Hoping to continue our journey forward, we aim towards establishing new milestones in today’s academia, with your undue support.

Separate Play-way Section
The school has a recently opened play-way with up-to-date facilities. Apart from having air-conditioned rooms, the play-way section also boasts of an indoor play section and advanced academic practices such as teaching through fun activities of craft-making.
Creation of Houses and Extracurricular Activities
The school has three houses, namely Oak, Chinar and Deodar, named after trees. All the extracurricular activities happening in the school are conducted through houses, under the supervision of Head Girl and Head Boy, who further work under the guidance of Head Teachers. Various inter-house competitions which are being held include, Rakhi Making, Table-Tennis, Solo Singing, and G.K Quiz. It is truly overwhelming to see the students of all age-groups participating with full enthusiasm. Through these activities, the students learn about the spirit of competitiveness and value of winning. Also, to carry out the smooth functioning of the houses, we plan house meetings every second Saturday of each month.
Besides holding various competitions within the school, we also make attempts to take our students for several inter-school competitions. Our students went on to participate in the C.B.S.E Sahodya Inter-School Competitions, where they covered the events of English Debate, Solo Song and Quiz Competitions. One of our notable achievements was when the SDPS team stood 1st in the Science Fair, held at Lovely Professional University in Sep’19.
In order to expose our children to the outside world, SDPS has often stepped forward to take its students to outdoor excursions. We organize regular trip to places like ‘Chatbir Zoo’ and ‘Sultanpur Lodhi’. As the safety of the students is always the priority, the school Principal, along with assigned teachers, accompany the students on these trips.
Parent Teacher Interaction
As SDPS understands that the development of a child is the main concern of a parent, we have a practice of healthy and frequent parent-teacher interaction. Therefore, in order to give you the timely progress of your child, we organise parent-teacher meeting on every last Saturday of each month. On this day, all the parents are welcome to the school to interact with the respective class teacher and openly discuss their ideas and concerns. We assure to look into the issues as early as possible.
School Athletic Meet
We at SDPS have always believed that growth is incomplete without physical fitness. Therefore, to inculcate in our students love for sports, we organise annual athletic meet in the month of February. In this meet, the participation is mandatory and equal chance is given to every student to showcase talent.
